To playfully challenge culinary clichés, designer Laura Görs and I put traditional German delicacies—think Rollmops and Pumpernickel—center stage, serving them on her contemporary porcelain tableware series Salé.

As a vibrant counterpoint to the hearty, rustic feel of German cuisine, we set the dishes against bold, sunset-toned backdrops inspired by Miami’s unmistakable flair. 

Because who says elegance can’t have a sense of humor?
